MISSION & GOAL

The College is committed to obtain the highest academic place among all the medical colleges in the country by enriching the inquisitive minds of its students with the latest research findings and most up-to-date and advanced scientific knowledge and information on the Medical & Nursing subjects. The college has in its mind to leave no stone unturned in making itself one of the finest and the most advanced medical colleges of the world.
The College not only equips its students with adequate latest medical and scientific skills and know-how on the subject for performing successfully their duties but also has its mission to nourish and nurture its students in such a way that they always remain benevolent, compassionate and sympathetic to their patients while performing their professional duties, “the Messiahas for the sick and the needy”.

The college has in its mind to leave no stone unturned in making itself one of the finest and the most advanced medical colleges of the world.
In addition not only equipping its students with adequate latest medical and scientific skills and know how on the subject for performing successfully their duties, the college also has its mission to nourish and nurture its students in such a way that they always remain benevolent compassionate and sympathetic while performing their professional duties the Messiahs for the sick and the needy.
With these aims and objectives in view, the college has been established in accordance with the international standard set for medical education by The WorId Federation of Medical Education and in accordance with the norms set by the Nepal Medical Council, the Medical Council of India and the Medical Council of other developed Countries. The Degree of the college has wide recognition and acceptance which the college believes will be highly valued by employers and Medical lnstitutions, the details of which has been given under the heading "Linkage Scenario".
LOCATION

The entire establishment of National Medical College, viz, Pre-clinical and clinical departments, Teaching hospital, School of Nursing, Students hostels, Quarters for faculties and other staff, Library, etc., all are located within one single campus spread over a fairly large track of about 40 acres of land. This is the unique advantage of this college as compared to many other Medical College in Nepal, which facilitates the teaching staff and students for better understanding with each other & work together for a better academic environment.
The National Medical College Campus is located at the outskirt of Birgunj city in a peaceful and pollution free environment. There is round o’clock local transport facilities available between the college campus and the markets and other utility places in the city.
Birgunj is a multi-cultural and multi-lingual city where Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and other ethnic communities live together in peace and harmony. The commonly spoken languages include Nepali, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Urdu, English, Newari and some other local dialects
As far as climate is concerned, Birgunj experiences temperature ranging from 8oc (the lowest in winter) and 39oc (the maximum insummer) and the average rainfall registered during the rainy season is 80 mm. Birgunj, the second largest city of Nepal has a population of nearly 6 hundred thousand people. The city provides a wide range choice of hotels, restaurants, shopping centres that suit the pockets of every class of people. There are many places and spots of recreation and amusement in and around the city
Regarding places of worship, there are many Hindu and Buddhist temples, Mosques, Guru Dwaras, and Churches to provide spiritual and religious needs of people. Most of the major banks of Nepal (both public and private sector) have their branches at Birgunj. Many of these banks are joint ventures with the leading banks of India and some other SAARC nations. This gives a major advantage to students coming from India and other SAARC countries. One of the major banking networks of Nepal has a branch within the National Medical College campus with 24 hours ATM facility, which facilitates easy money transaction matters for the students, staff & the patients.
POSTGRADUATE MEDICAL PROGRAMME (M.D./M.S.)
The National Medical College offers Postgraduate Medical Courses (M.D./M.S.) 3 yrs residential program in almost all the clinical and pre-clinical subjects. The course outline for the Postgraduate programs in various subjects is strictly based on the curriculum of Tribhuban University. Our Postgraduate degrees have wide recognition and acceptance which are highly valued for employment in medical institutions across the globe.
Eligibility:
Session – from April Every year
i. The medical council Registered MBBS doctor
ii Entrance Examination
a. For Nepalese – Must passed P.G. Entrance examination conducted by Tribhuwan University 9Usually exam. Conducted in March every year)
b. For Foreigner/Indian – Must passed Entrance examination conducted by Institute or Univeristy
Hostel Facility:
There ar three hostel for P.G. students. Two are of one bedroom apartment type while one has single seated with attached bathroom with hot & cold water system
Tution Fee & Other Charges:
A. Tuition Fee for whole MBBS or P.G. Course as per rule & regulation of National Medical College.
B. University Registration fee, Examination fee, Medical Council fee will be charged as per rule.
C. Registration fee and Admission fee for MBBS course IRs.45000.00/- yearly & for P.G.course IRs. 46250.00 Yearly.
