Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana – Ambala, erstwhile known as Maharishi Markandeshwar Education Trust was founded with the objective of social, educational and economic upliftment of society in the year 1993, in the name of Lord Shiva’s devotee, “Maharishi Markandeshwar Ji”. MM University Trust, Mullana – Ambala has become a symbol of quality education in technical, professional and medical streams in northern India and has been carrying on its lineage for over 20 years.

In exercise of powers conferred under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, the Central Government, on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana – Ambala comprising ten of its teaching institutions, as “Deemed University” vide Notification No. F.9-65/2006-U.3 (A) dated 12-6-2007. MMU Solan

The lush green Maharishi Markandeshwar University spread over an area of 47 acres with exotic surroundings of green hills is ideally located on Chandigarh-Shimla National Highway at Sultanpur Road, Solan (H.P.) in the lap of the ‘devbhoomi’ of great Himalayan. Established as a Multi faculty University in the name of the Maharishi Markandeshwar Ji, a great disciple of Lord Shiva, the foundation stone of the University was laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal Ji on 22 February 2009. With his blessings, the University has been operational with effect from the academic session 2010-11 with the admissions to the School of Engineering & Technology, School of Computer Technology and School of Business Management. More Institutes of Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Fashion Design, etc. will come up in the coming sessions.

MMU Ambala

As a part of its expansion Programme, the MM University Trust (erstwhile reputed MM Education Trust, Ambala), has developed another over 40 Acres new vibrant Campus at Sadopur on Delhi-Chandigarh National Highway in the suburbs of Ambala towards Chandigarh for bringing new life to the educational system and providing professional education to the people of the surrounding region. 1	The Fee will have to be deposited at the time of Counseling.
2	BHM, B.Sc. (Hospitality), M.Sc. (Dietetics) and BHM-MBA (Integrated) and Diploma Courses in Hotel Management students are also required to pay Rs. 5,000/- as operational fee and Rs. 7,000/- as training & lab material fee per annum.
3	Student fund for M.Sc. Nursing is Rs. 2,000/- p.a. and Rs. 1,500/- p.a. for other courses.
4	University charges will be extra as per University norms.
5	One time refundable College Caution Money is charged @ Rs. 2,000/- except in the case of M.Sc. Nursing for which it is charged @ Rs.5,000/-
6	Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. However, the security will be refunded if claimed within one year of the completion of the course.
7	BPT/MPT students are required to pay annual charges @ Rs.3, 000/- each.
8	For MBBS course, the fee will be charged for 4.5 yrs.
9	Two year diploma holder’s seeking Admission to the MD/MS Course will have to pay tuition Fee @ 1.5 times of the Annual Fee as mentioned above.
10	There will be an annual increase of 5% in tuition fee except in the case of BDS/MBBS/MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS in which increase will be 10%.
11	The above rates of Fee for MD/MS/PG Diploma Course are excluding onetime Registration Fee of Rs. 40,000/-, caution money of Rs. 50,000 and University charges @ 26,500/- per year.
12	Fee for MBBS/BDS are excluding Registration Fee of Rs. 40,000/- and University charges @ 18,300/- per year.
13	The student joining the dual – Degree/Diploma-Degree integrated program will have to pay the fee as applicable for the second integrated degree course at the time while moving into the integrated degree course.
14	Hostel Charges will be extra and compulsory for MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS/MBBS/BDS students.
15	Students who wish to leave the Institute mid-stream, will have to deposit the fee for the remaining period of the course as per judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of Islamic Academy of Education and others Vs State of Karnataka & PA Inamdar case.
